Frilly Friday - Lovely As A Tree

9/28/2018

Well HELLLOOO Friday!!! Yesterday, the girls played so well that I got to spend extra time in my craft room! What a lovely day! So I treated them to some chocolate milk from Starbucks! Lucky, hyper little girls! Haha
After dinner, my oldest kept asking to go to the pool AND THEN go see her boy friends down the street to play. So we went to the pool (where they stopped heating it and it was too cold for me!!!!) So, we went to the spa and “cooked” the girls into a sleepy mode – kind of like a nice warm bath! When it was time to go home, my oldest asked to go see her friends down the street. We drove by their house and they weren’t playing outside. That worked for the Hubby and I because we were pretty tired and ready to put the girls to bed! It did work out, because we changed the girls into their jammies and they both fell asleep quickly! Win for us!
The Hubby and I watched the season premiere of This Is Us and what an emotional rollercoaster and what a cliffhanger! Anyone else watch that show? The writing is so good and you’re always guessing and crying and laughing and relating to the show somehow.

So, THANK YOU SO VERY MUCH This Is Us for ending our night with tears in our eyes and smiles on our faces and disbelief on how the show ended. Thank you for toying with our emotions! hahaha

Thursday's Take - Lovely As A Tree

9/27/2018

Ahhh Thursday… We’re getting closer to the weekend!!! Yesterday evening, the family and I went for a walk down our street and met a new set of neighbors! A very pregnant mama with her 4th son! Their family just melted my heart! Her 3 sons (ages I’m guessing- 5, 7, 8) were so polite and were so gentle with my girls and loved playing together.
This mama and I were talking about how we are teaching our kiddos Sign Language and so her boys were showing me all the signs they’ve learned and were telling me that they loved us and the boys gave us hugs goodbye without being told to! They seriously melted my heart. I hope to see them again on our nightly walks. (insert so many hearts here)

That impromptu play time thankfully exhausted my girls into going to bed early and truthfully the Hubby and I fell asleep early as well! But somehow in the wee hours of the morning, I just couldn’t sleep well anymore without tossing and turning, so I have been up since 5am! So today’s card is a very simple and quick card to make! And yet, I love the card so much with its simplicity!

Tuesday Transformation - Lovely As A Tree

9/25/2018

Hey Tuesday!!! Yesterday, the day started off gloomy with a side of 2 cups of coffee with 2 toddlers hyped up on pancakes and syrup! Why oh why can’t I start my day off with just SOME of their energy? Once the caffeine kicked in, I took them to the park before it became too warm to be outside. Home in time for lunch and naps and some crafting time for me. Perfect.
I watch Netflix while I make cards and I’ve already binge watched a few shows. And I am ready to start another show. Do you have any recommendations?

Today, I dedicate this card to a friend of mine who lost their mom last month. I am so sorry for your loss and I send my love and hugs to you and your family.

Monday Motivation - Lovely As A Tree

9/24/2018

Hello Monday!!! I am not ready for the week… I have not fully recovered from the weekend! I held a surprise birthday party for my mama on Saturday and although we were missing some key family members, we had a blast! My mama was completely surprised and it made my heart so full! We even watched old family movies that my grandpa took during the late 90’s (I was only 3 in some of the videos). So it was fun for my kiddos to see their mama at their age. It was a nice stroll through memory lane for my Grandma to watch those videos.

My mama spent the night here from Friday until Sunday and she was such a big help with my kiddos. They love her lots! But not more than ME! I
I even slept until 9am Sunday morning! So thank you to my Hubby and to my mama for allowing that

Tuesday Transformation - Oh So Eclectic

9/18/2018

Hey Tuesday! Yesterday, I woke up on the wrong side of the bed. As soon as I opened my eyes, my oldest toddler was already asking me to start up the bubble machine in the backyard by shoving the machine in my face…While I was still in bed mind you…While we were walking down the stairs, I proceeded to tell her to wait and we’ll do it soon, that Mommy needs her caffeine and breakfast first… WELL. that didn’t go over so well… Tears and pouting came shortly after she put the machine on the coffee table and curled up on the couch with her blanket and bottom lip sticking out. Then, my youngest toddler grabbed it and was saying “Outside, outside!” …..Guess what…The bubble machine made it’s way to the garage and there it still sits… ugh… Not a single drop of caffeine has hit my tongue yet… too early… zombie… not enough sleep…What day is it? Was it a full moon last night? How long have my kids been awake already? Did they sneak in sugar at some point this morning already? All thoughts that were running through my mind while I took my first sip of caffeine courage. What a fun day this will be, huh? So, after I quickly ate a granola bar, we headed to the backyard and they ran around and around and around… still, I was too tired for all of that energy. Why can’t I wake up that full of energy? I sure am liking the early morning weather though. The perfect amount of a cool breeze, the smell of a fresh new day and a clear view of the mountains. Holy moly, no matter how I wake up, no matter how tired I am, no matter what the kids will be like any day, I am blessed. Thank you, God.

As I am currently writing today’s blog post, both kids are whining to be held, to go outside, wanting a snack, to go to the park… Another repeat of yesterday? I hope not. Yesterday, I turned into one of those parents who drove around the block to get them to nap. It works! Imagine that! Is that why I hear so many moms and dads doing that? Magical… Today, I think we’ll go to the pool and tire them out that way. Fingers crossed for a full night of sleep.

Anyways, getting ahead of myself, here is today’s card to say, “Hello Friend”. Let’s chat, shall we? What is on your mind lately? How is life treating you?

So, continuing using this week’s featured stamp set – Oh So Eclectic – I just wanted to show you some ideas that to help inspire you!

Monday Motivation - Oh So Eclectic

9/17/2018

Hello Monday! We meet again… I just wasn’t ready for the weekend to be over… Were you? My Hubby did yard work while the kids played in the backyard and they sometimes "helped" with the yard work. I spent a lot of the weekend making Birthday cards for my Birthday club. Sign up HERE to receive a Birthday card in your birthday month! Then I ended each day with some much needed chaotic, full of love and laughter, tickles and mommy and daddy jungle gym family time. I am seriously LOVING the ages my girls are at - 3 1/2 (just 2 months shy of 4 years old) and 1 1/2 years old. :) They complete me.

I am fortunate for the people in my life and I look forward to meeting more of you. Leave a comment, say hi, write an email or give me a call! I'd love to say Hello!
You all are Just Lovely. Here is today’s card:

Hello Friday! Am I happy to see you! Somehow, no matter how your week is, Friday just feels good, doesn’t it? I wake up to my kiddos already being up for 2 hours before me along with my husband and the living room looks like a tornado in the form of 2 toddlers has had their way with it! Blocks, balls and books just everywhere! How? In two hours, they get a lot done! But it takes about 4 hours just to get them to clean up their mess! Lol I love them to pieces, but when I step on another block for the 100th time, I start to question it slightly! These girls are my world. They made me a mama, which I thank God for every single day.

Therefore, today’s card is a Thank You card.

So, continuing using this week’s featured stamp set – Petal Palette – I just wanted to show you some ideas that to help inspire you!

It was the perfect way to end our weekend. Tri tip, homemade coleslaw and homemade ranch beans with cake to top it all off. #Perfect
